I am interested in travel nursing. I have worked in a long-term nursing faciltiy for 14 years. I am a registered nurse and I would like to continue in this specialty (I am certified in gerontology and currently work as a nurse manager). Does anyone know of nursing agency that works with long-term nursing facilities??

Traveling nursing can be a wonderful career. People should always take care to make sure that they are signing on with an agency that can best suit their needs. A bad experience with an agency can ruin the career for you. Make sure that the agency and your desires and needs are a strong match. That will ensure many happy days doing a job that you love.
It is up to you to do your homework on any agency that you are looking into. The internet is a great resource tool for this. You will be able to find several forums about traveling nursing, online. Read many of them, you may find that some agencies do not live up to the promises that they make. The best way of knowing this is by talking to those that have worked for them before. Forums are a great place to meet people that are willing to share their advice with you.Reviews
Almost all agencies provide excellent health insurance, but make sure that you read the fine print. Some cover all expenses, provide free life insurance, and professional insurance with no extra charge to you. This is not really true, because if they were not paying for those benefits and perks, you would have a little extra money at the end of the month. It is nice to be able to work without having to worry about insurance costs and what would happen if you got sick. For some, these benefits are worth more than the cash equivalent. Insurance Issues
Many people enter into travel nursing because they want to be able to move from city to city, state to state, or even to other countries. This lifestyle is very appealing, especially to the younger nurses. But for some, they simply want to be able to work at various hospitals in their local region. This should be something that you need to look into. If you want to remain local, you may not want to choose and agency that advertises luxury living provided at no charge.  Conversely, if you want to travel from state to state or even overseas, you will want to make sure of what the agencies provide in terms of transportation and moving expenses. You will also want to know what kinds of accommodations are available to the traveling staff. You may be willing to give up a little of your pay, if you are living rent free in a nice home or apartment.Location Location Location
